With the tragic events that took place at the Connecticut Elementary School on Friday I have been feeling so incredibly sad and my heart truly goes out to all the families who lost their loved ones.  To lift my spirits we decided to to take Ariyana and head into Washington D.C. for the day.  My friend told me about the wonderful holiday exhibits at the Botanic Gardens so we decided to check it out.  The Conservatory was filled with wreaths and garlands, and filled with model trains, buildings made from plant materials and a gorgeous collection of poinsettias.  After a walk through the lovely gardens we took a stroll over to the Air and Space Museum for a quick visit and ended the evening with a wonderful Thai dinner over at Rice.  We had a wonderful day together laughing and hanging out and we spent quality time together which truly is the most imporant thing ever. And it was a nice opportunity to play around with my camera and work on my photography skills. 

Ok and since I get tons of questions about these boots I am wearing (I literally get stopped on the street) I have to talk about them for just a moment. These are my favorite pair of boots I own and probably one of my favorite items in my entire wardrobe.  If you are looking for a high quality pair of over the knee boots that are comfortable and will last you several seasons these ones are THE best.
