On Saturday evening Aneesh and I drove into D.C. for a stroll and a fabulous tapas dinner at Jaleo. The scenic drive into the city was a treat in itself and I am constantly amazed with the all round beauty of the city, the impressive monuments and buildings, and the vast history.  Since our move to the D.C. area six months ago we have enjoyed exploring some phenomenal restaurants and there are still so many more I want to check out. 

Lately I  cannot get enough of mint green (here and here) and one of my absolute favorite colors to pair with mint green is red.  Saturday evening was the perfect opportunity to dress up and wear this new silk dress from Donna Morgan.  What I love most about the dress is that fits well and is true to size, the material is high quality, and the dress is incredibly versatile. 1. Summer Day-pair the dress with a tote, open toe sandals, and a fun pair of sunglasses. 

2. Work-Layer the dress with a crisp white blazer and nude or black pointy heels. Keep jewelry understated and simple with a delicate necklace and bracelet. 

3. Evening-Go bold with red heels , a neutral straw clutch and layer on gold or silver bangles.
