How To Wear A Sleeveless Jacket

I just picked up this sleeveless vest from Nordstrom and it's the perfect piece to wear with a short sleeve top and leggings or a short skirt. As the weather cools down the vest will look great layered with a long sleeve silk blouse, leggings, and a pair of oxfords or even with a short skirt, tights, and booties.
Also on a side note I just got my hair cut and my stylist suggested I go with this middle part. What do you think? I can't decide if I like it or not. I guess a little change is always good.
